You can send email invitations to all selected participants after the initial creation of the survey. By default, the survey tool provides a standard message you can use or edit as you wish.
The following email details can be changed:
- Subject
- From address
- To address
- Body
The email body can be customised using variables. A place holder is a word enclosed in brackets that is an instruction to the application to take action.
Available place holders:
[participant] - the place holder will be replaced with the participants first name.
[last_name] - the place holder will be replaced with the participants last name.
[full_name] - the place holder will be replaced with the participants full name.
[surveyname] - the place holder will be replaced with the name you gave the survey.
[survey_web_address] - the placeholder will be replaced with the web address survey link.
Send a test invitation email
To see how the email looks to participants, you can send a test email to yourself. Simply enter your email address in the Test address field, then select the send test email button. Now check your email inbox to see what it looks like!
Reminder emails
As with invitations, reminder emails can also be edited as required. You can change the default subject of the email and the body copy to appear as you like. The same place holders are available for you to place in the body of the email message.
Select the Finish survey wizard button to move to the next step in the wizard.
