Some times when you copy a password out of an email and paste it into the password field on your discussion board login screen an extra character is inadvertently added to the end of the password.
If you find the password is not working for you, it is very likely you are picking up an extra character and pasting it into the password field - try first typing it in the field.
If you first try typing in the password directly before contacting your board organiser. If it still doesn’t work, You can try resetting your password.
How to reset your password
Select the Reset you password link and you will be taken to the password reset page.
Enter the email address that you gave for the discussion group password and select the reCaptcha "I'm not a robot" check box.
You will be present with a small task to make sure you are a human and not a bot. Please complete the task and click the verify button.
You will then be taken back to the rest page. The check box for the recapture will now be ticket and you can select the "Reset" button to reset your password.
Once you have logged-in
Using your secure password, you will be able to change your password to something more memorable. Simply select the Change your password link in the settings area. See more instructions on how to change your password.
I see a message which tells me I have Invalid login details what should I do?
If you see a message like this:
- Please try typing in your username and password exactly as it is in your invitation email.
- If this does not work then please send forward your invitation email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include a brief description of what you are experiencing.
- We will then be able to assist you, or refer you to your discussion organiser.
